Styles P Suffers Broken Leg In Road Rage Incident
Styles P, of D-Block, was involved in a road rage incident on Saturday afternoon (December 23), resulting in the rapper suffering a broken leg.
According to WABC-TV in New York, the rapper (real name: David Styles), 32, was cut off by a truck on Saw Mill River Road, which angered him. He then returned the favor, resulting in both vehicles stopping.
Styles then got out of his 2003 Mercedes-Benz, threw napkins at the truck’s window after a verbal altercation and returned to his car. Upon returning, the truck rammed him. Styles P’s left leg was broken in the process.
He was taken to Westchester Medical Center for treatment, and was later released. The driver of the truck was 50-year-old John Henson, who was arrested and charged with second-degree assault.
Henson reportedly told police he was not aware he had cut off Styles’ car and that he was feared “for his safety” when the rapper got back into his car after throwing the napkins. He is scheduled to appear in Town Court on January 2.
Mike Tyson Arrested on Suspicion of DUI and Cocaine Possession
Mike Tyson was arrested early Friday on suspicion of driving under the influence and possession of cocaine after police stopped him shortly after he left a Scottsdale nightclub, police said.
The former heavyweight champion appeared in Maricopa County Superior Court in Phoenix later Friday and was ordered released without bond on a felony drug possession charge.
No alcohol was detected in his system, and a DUI-drugs charge was not filed pending toxicology tests.
Tyson, 40, will be required to submit to drug and alcohol testing and is prohibited from drinking or taking any nonprescription drugs while the case is pending.
Tyson was dressed in an oversized golf shirt, baggy jeans and tennis shoes without strings when he was brought into court. He said nothing and appeared calm while waiting for the judge, though he periodically tapped his feet or fingers.
At one point during the brief hearing, he thanked Commissioner Sheila Madden. As he was leaving court, he shook his head when asked by a reporter if he wanted to comment. He did not enter a plea and did not have a lawyer.
Tyson was stopped after his car almost struck a sheriff’s vehicle while leaving the club at about 1:45 a.m., said Sgt. Larry Hall.

According to the New York Post’s Page Six, Usher is hoping to play the lead role, while Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie, born Stacey Ferguson, is looking to play one of Brown’s wives.
As previously reported, Usher was personally anointed the “Godson of Soul” by James Brown at the 2005 Grammy’s.
“Man, when he called me the ‘Godson of Soul,’ I damn near fell out backstage,” Usher says. “Truth be told, I was so excited while on stage that I didn’t even know that he gave me that name. It wasn’t until I was backstage in my dressing room and someone from my staff told me he named me that. Then I actually saw a replay of the awards show.”

Timbaland Goes Solo, Recruits 50 & JT For New CD
After being nominated for multiple Grammys this year for his work with pop acts Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado, Timbaland is finally ready to return as a solo artist and release a new album.
The as-yet-untitled disc is set for a tentative March release and will be the super-producer’s first release since 2001’s Under Construction Pt. II, a collaborative effort with his long time partner Magoo. Though not confirmed, it is believed that the lead single off the album will be the song “Give It To Me”, which features both Timberlake and Furtado.
Straying away from a strictly hip-hop formula, Timbo is hoping to experiment and bring a new sound to the forefront with this latest effort.
“He ventures into the alternative world and the real pop world,” said Timbaland protégé Nate “Danja” Hills in an interview with Billboard. “He has so many different sounds from hip-hop, to pop, to rock on this album. And he pulls every single one of them off perfectly.” He continues, “His ear is more attuned to an international sound. Any type of music with a crazy melody, he is automatically attracted to. He knows how to transform those melodies to something urban. He knows how to put the oomph behind something pretty, or melodic and big. When you get the right vocals on it, it turns into something crazy international.”
The highly anticipated disc is rumored to boast guest appearances from artists including Bjork, Missy Elliot, and G-Unit boss 50 Cent among others. Fans who plan on catching Justin Timberlake on his current tour may also be privileged to catch a sneak preview of Timbo’s new material, as he is rumored to have his own section in the show according to Hills.
Kanye Gets Dissed
Kanye West does not like being ignored and he will let you know about it. Earlier this year, he proved it by lashing out after losing at the MTV Europe Awards. He has actually proven this many other times, at other award shows. He’s also claimed publications would lose credibility if they did not rate his albums as classic material. Now, reports indicate that the rapper/producer has taken this even further.
According to The Mirror, West was furious after being turned down by European Pop singer Amelle (of The Sugababes). His assistant called Amelle and claimed that Kanye didn’t “like being ignored.”
“She said she was calling on behalf of Kanye who was furious because I had offended him by not dating him. I told her that Kanye knew I had a boyfriend, but she wasn’t having any of it,” Amelle said. “She said he was not used to being treated like that, and I should be more considerate next time I see him.”
“Just because Kanye clicks his fingers I’m not gonna come running,” she added.
The singer went on to explain that she loved her current boyfriend and had no intentions to date Kanye.
No word from Kanye West as of press time.
Recently, Kanye made the news after recieving a law suit from Evel Knievel. Ye has also been making noise via other peoples’ records. He can currently be heard producing/rapping on tracks by Nas, The Game and Jay-Z.

Sprint Employee Fired Over Ludacris Booking, Claims Racism
A former Sprint Nextel employee has reportedly filed a lawsuit against the company claiming she was fired for hiring Ludacris for a work-related event without her boss’ consent.
According to the Kansas City Star, Elizabeth Henry claims she was asked to organize a Las Vegas party as a reward for Sprint’s top call center employees. The workers allegedly requested an African-American entertainer at the event.
Henry asserts her boss green-lighted two entertainers, Ludacris and LL Cool J, but after another employee allegedly told her boss that “she must be into the black thing,” her boss became concerned.
Henry claims she assured her boss that Ludacris would perform according to “PG-13 standards,” but if they were still a concern, she would get another black performer.
Her boss allegedly responded that any black performer would be controversial. Henry, who is white, called the remark discriminatory.
Henry claims she was then interrogated for five hours and was fired later that same day.
“Her boss said she was terminating her for insubordination,” Brendan J. Donelon, Henry’s lawyer, told The Star. “She said it had to do with the fact that she retained Ludacris as the entertainer without her permission.
“I think what happened is that her boss approved it and didn’t think anything of it until somebody said, ‘Hey, have you ever listened to their music?'” he added.
Henry’s suit is seeking unspecified damages. Sprint officials could not be reached for comment.
